Wedding Photography Stony Brook

This photo taken at the de Seversky Mansion in NYT is a great example of photojournalism in weddings. We can see a father in law giving away his bridge to the future husband. In the back you can also notice the grooms father is touched by the moment. The black and white adds more emotion. Im not sure why maybe the color can sometimes can be distracting. Each couple has their unique story to tell. This moment is an important story in intensely. We can see how the father is beside himself at the moment he gives his daughter away. The speed of the Nikon D5 camera is crucial to getting this exact moment in time. I like to use my Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 zoom lens when shooting people coming down the aisle. The zoom is safe and can provide last minute framing adjustments in tough to move spots. The de Seversky mansion is a great venue for couples in Nassau County Long Island, New York. The property is gorgeous with stairs, pillars, gardens, and pond. Most weddings I've photographed here have been Gatsby style in which you move throughout different rooms for each part of the night. This venue is a good smaller alternative to the Oheka Castle.
